Respect the space: Treat the space and the people with care and consideration. Avoid waste. Use care not to inconvenience others.
Noise: The Workery is a workplace. We encourage collaboration and relationship building, but please be considerate of others around you. Remember to use headphone and keep the volume low if you are listening to music or watching videos.
Phone calls: If your phone call lasts more than a minute, please have your call in the kitchen, outdoors, or a meeting room.
Printing: Our coworking space provides this printer, paper and ink for the community as a shared resource. Please help us save trees and limit your printing to 20 pages per day per member. If you need to print more than 20 pages please send us an email at email@example.com
Children: Children under 16 are not allowed on the premises without staff approval. Your children must be under your direct supervision at all times and may not be disruptive to others in the space.
Pets: Animals are not allowed in the building unless they are service animals.
Guests: Feel free to invite a friend or guest for lunch, a quick meeting, or just to say hello. However if your guest will stay more than an hour, you must purchase a guest pass (or use one of the guest passes that is part of your membership package). Guests are your responsibility at all times. You must ensure that they follow the rules of the space.
Harassment: We have zero tolerance for harassment. Every member and every guest should feel welcome, comfortable, and productive in our space regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, or other personal attributes or beliefs.
Personal Items: If you are a Resident, then your assigned desk is for your use only and you may leave items on or in your desk. Otherwise you may not leave your items at The Workery when you are not present. The Workery is not responsible for theft or damage to your personal items! Please use care in deciding what to bring to The Workery and do not leave valuable items unattended.
Insurance: The Workery’s insurance does not cover your items. If you want insurance coverage, you must make arrangements for this on your own. It is your responsibility to secure any property you bring to The Workery, including bikes, computers, food, paperwork, and any other valuables.
Refrigerator: The refrigerator is primarily for storing that day’s food, beverages, and some occasional leftovers from events. As a general policy, food that is older than one week and taking up space will be thrown out. Containers or food left in the refrigerator may be thrown out at any time at the discretion of the staff. Labeling your food will help us at least give you a heads up.
Food and Alcohol Policy: If members bring in food or drink and choose to consume it, they do so at their own discretion and risk. While we do not prohibit members from relaxing with a drink, we do not tolerate intoxication at the space. Underage drinking is not tolerated and will result in immediate cancellation of membership. Members should always be considerate that their eating or relaxation brakes may not match up with other members and should remain mindful and respectful during those times.
After Hours: We understand that not all members will want to work only within the posted office hours. The Workery is for business use only and overnight stays are not permitted.
Heat & Air Conditioning: The staff sets the thermostat at a temperature meant to be most comfortable to the most members. If an issue arises or the air conditioning is not working properly, members should immediately contact the staff. Individual members should not change the thermostat without permission.
Meeting Rooms: Meetings rooms may be booked through your coworking member portal for a fee or prepaid credits. If a space is not in use, members may not take the opportunity to use the room without booking online first.
Smoking: Smoking is not permitted.
Parking: If you park in a space not designated for Members use, your car will likely be towed very quickly!
Safety: The Workery does not guaranty your safety! We have installed locks, lighting, and other security measures but you are responsible for deciding the times that your work and whether you are comfortable being in the space after business hours.
Privacy: You may not use any Members’ personally identifiable information for marketing or similar communications unless the Member has indicated that they wish to receive communications of that type. Members’ privacy preferences are posted in the Directory. You may not disclose any Directory information to any person other than The Workery Staff for any reasons.
